The original 60’s yellow brick home is now unrecognisable having undergone a complete transformation. Standing proud is this beautiful Hamptons style home. Form being equally important as function, this home, designed by Belinda Dale of Dale Design Group, caters for the young family now and into the future.
The existing freestanding garage was demolished, extending the space to include a new garage and extra living and dining space. Solid American Oak 180mm wide flooring with a custom Synteko finish was installed to ground floor living areas. The ground floor bathroom and kitchen were retained, as these had only been updated a few years earlier. All other areas on the ground floor were re-lined and decorative cornice installed. Each of the ground floor windows have been replaced with a combination of timber and aluminium windows. Large bifiold doors open to the merbau deck entertaining areas, acting as an extension of the living areas of the home.
The impressive staircase, constructed of American oak timber treads, painted risers and American oak handrail leads to the first-floor addition. Including a sitting area, bathroom, bedrooms and master suite. Beautiful raked ceilings throughout, hand cut by our team, are a stunning feature. This together with the Velux operable skylights in the first-floor living create a bright inviting space and feeling of height that adds to the grand Hamptons style of this home.
First impressions count and the façade of this home does not disappoint. The first floor and garage addition are cladded in 180 Linea Scyon cladding with the existing brickwork rendered. A 90mm Modwood decked front porch leads to a grand double door front entry. The pitched roof is tiled in Monier Nullarbor – Black flat terracotta, finished with 150mm half round gutters in Basalt. The entire house is painted in Dulux Flooded Gum, with white trims.
